It was Perth's longest-running alternative screen culture event committed to exhibiting low or no-budget produced short films.
Screened in various bars and venues across the city, regional WA and the eastern states, it featured annually as part of Revelation Film Festival 2001-2007, hosting Rev Club, an alternative cinema at the legendary Bakery Arts Complex.
Rebooting in 2024, SPLIF returns years into the advanced digital age to once again provide an alternative platform
for local unconventional creatives to submit their works.
This opening night comeback special features a
retrospective of films screened from 2001 to 2008.
